Needles, Hooks, and Lovers of Books is the news and events blog for TrafalgarBooks.com, the craft book storefront for Trafalgar Square Books of North Pomfret, Vermont: a small, privately-owned publisher of fine craft books, equestrian books and DVDs, and selected other titles.

Trafalgar Square’s owners, Caroline and Ted Robbins, moved to a farm in North Pomfret—a rural community of about 200 residents, nestled in the hills surrounding the better-known (and larger) town of Woodstock—in the early 1970s, and established the Trafalgar Square offices and warehousing facilities in part of the farmhouse and the barns on the property. The publishing company still thrives on the farm today, along with horses and Scottish Highland cattle.

TSB published its first knitting book in 1992, and is proud to publish top names in the design and craft industries, including the wildly popular duo Arne & Carlos; spinning and weaving expert, the late Anne Field; knitting and cabling innovator Elsebeth Lavold; bestselling crochet veteran Tove Fevang; knit designer Mel Clark; internationally beloved colorwork master Martin Storey; and Scandinavian pattern specialists like Mette Handberg, Annemor Sundbø, and Jorid Linvik, to name just a few.
